Recycling has become a buzzword in our efforts to combat environmental challenges. We've all been encouraged to recycle our plastics, but did you know that not all plastics can be recycled? It's essential to understand the differences between plastic types and their recyclability to make informed choices. In this blog post, we'll delve into the world of plastic coding and the importance of using recyclable plastics.
Deciphering the Plastic Code
You may have noticed a number on your plastic containers, like water bottles and food containers. This code is not just a random label; it signifies the type of plastic used in the item. However, it's important to note that this code does not guarantee recyclability.
The Code's Purpose
The plastic code, a number typically encased in a triangle of arrows, serves as a tool for consumers and recycling facilities to identify the type of plastic. Understanding these codes can help us make better choices when it comes to purchasing and disposing of plastic products.
The HDPE 2 Difference
enviroCare, in its commitment to sustainability, uses HDPE 2, which stands for High-Density Polyethylene. HDPE 2 is one of the most recyclable plastics. Here's why it matters:
In our collective efforts to protect the environment, it's vital to identify the recyclable plastics from the non-recyclable ones. Together, we can reduce waste, minimise our carbon footprint, and create a cleaner, greener world for generations to come.

Omicron Logistics Status Update | 12th Jan 22
The rapid spread of the Omicron variant has further impacted the logistics industry. This includes many courier drivers, warehouse staff, forklift drivers, container unpack crews and administrators.
Due to the widespread impact of Omicron infections, our partnered carriers across the network are experiencing both a surge in parcel deliveries and major disruptions to their delivery services. With a significant number of people in self-isolation in accordance with state regulations and public health orders, delivery delays are expected across the network due to driver shortages, depots experiencing temporary closures and/or operating with significantly reduced staff.
This has also created some lags in tracking details being updated on carrier websites.
Please allow (at least) an extra 14 business days on top of your estimated date for arrival.
Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
