PRODUCTS

The general shelf life of our products is 12 months after opening.

To ENSURE long longevity of your products, it is important to carry out sterilising and check your methods of decanting & cleanliness of the dispensing machinery. We use plant based biocide which generally cannot cope big bacterial loads! Pumps and wall dispensers are notorious for bacterial contamination as they are reused many times and are perfect to collect bacteria. Bottles also will build up bacteria if used many times without being sterilised.

AN IDEAL PRACTISE WHEN DECANTING AND STORING PLANT BASED PRODUCTS IS:

1) Hands and equipment must be as clean as possible before starting decanting;

2) Replace container being decanted into after 3-4 refills IF not sterilising between each refill;

3) Replace pump or closure after the same amount of refills unless it is a closure that can be sterilised. (Pumps cannot due to the nature of their manufacturing);

If replacing the container is not an option (ie wall dispensers), you can achieve this by putting some sterilising solution into the dispensing unit and pumping it through the nozzle. Following that wipe the equipment thoroughly down with the sterilising solution.

4) Always close the lid on the bulk container tightly after process completed;

5) Store in a cool dry area; and

6) Never leave plant based products in direct sunlight, with loose lids or closures, in damp and mouldy conditions.

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use. Bacteria is prevalent in the places that cleaning products are stored.

Our Sensitive range has no essential oils, fragrances or food grade dyes added. Essential oils and fragrances are the most common cause of allergic reactions to products.

INGREDIENTS

We always strive to use plant derived ingredients which are sourced from natural & sustainable resources and that are biodegradable with a low hazard rating. To view the ingredients we use in our products visit our Ingredients Page https://www.envirocareearth.com.au/pages/our-ingredients-1

A list of ingredients is provided under each individual product. Any further information on individual product ingredient lists is proprietary information.

REFILLING

Sorry, our warehouse is not set up to refill empty and used single item containers! We firmly believe in refilling and as such have designed our products so that you can purchase bulk sizes to refill your smaller bottles from home.

Some of our Stockists are set up to do just this, so all you would need to do is bring your own container to their Store to refill it (ensure you steralise the containers to prevent cross contamination) - check our 'Where to Buy' section on the footer of the page to source local Stores.

PACKAGING

All 15L bulky drums do not come with a tap or drum spanner. These will need to be added to your cart separately! Customers tend to always reuse these items.

We do not sell labels or empty bottles. We encourage customers to buy bulk sizes and refill from home.

We endevour to source bottles from local manufacturers who use as much recycled and recovered material as possible. We do not import any of our bottles or containers unless we cannot find a supplier in WA first, then other states. All HDPE bottles are recyclable. HDPE is one of the easiest plastic polymers to recycle. We will continue to source a vegetable based plastic here in Western Australia.

We use 100% biodegradable Bio-fil corn starch nibs that dissolve in water to cushion any impact that occurs in transport. Our products are placed into Better Packaging biodegradable bags (3 months they start to break down) to contain leaks or spills which some times occur whilst in transit as our products are bulky and heavy.

We endeavor to be as environmentally conscious as we can, making changes when something comes to our attention that is a better option than we are using.

Dedicated to reduce our plastic use, loyal users of our products will notice that our 1L, 2L & 5L bottles no longer contain the plastic pour back spout. See “HOW TO’S” for our tips on decanting bulk bottles.

The weather can have a big impact on the viscosity of our envirocare products. The viscosity parameter is generally 3-4 mins at 20-25C. The product will get thicker as temperature decreases and thinner as it increases! Rest assured the product it ok.

At times, our products can develop bacterial loads which our plant based biocide cannot cope with! In this instance, the product can lose viscosity, change colour and turn smelly.

If your product becomes milky, changes viscosity or has a funky odour this usually means contamination. To prevent this it is important to carry out sterilising and check your methods of decanting & cleanliness of the dispensing machinery. Pumps and wall dispensers are notorious for bacterial contamination as they are reused many times and are perfect to collect bacteria. ~The general shelf life of our products is 12 months after opening~

The most common cause for our products becoming contaminated are from the way the product has been handled, stored and/or decanted or it has past it's use by date.

If you need to discard the balance of your container, our products are greywater safe and can be diluted down and used as a great soil wetter in your garden.

Our plant based Dishwasher Powder & Laundry Powders are more susceptible to moisture which at times can cause the powders' consistency to change to clumpy. Rest assured there is nothing wrong with your product. You should always store products in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use. Bacteria is prevalent in the places that cleaning products are stored.If clumpy give container vigorous shake.

You will notice how little space the carton takes up compared to traditional laundry packaging…in fact this is around 85% less so well done for helping to improve the environment.

Note from envirocare earth owner, Colleen

We manufacture our environmentally responsible plant based products in Perth, Western Australia…..except the new innovations that need to be supported by specialised equipment that requires a large capital investment BEFORE we can test the market.

We found this product when trying to find a way to reduce our reliance on HDPE, PET & other plastic packaging during COVID.

Laundry detergent strips (LDS) were originally manufactured in Northern America and then China. China is the only place that we can source them from to our specifications & to test the market here in Australia as a result.

We have committed to purchasing the equipment and technology once we are sure that the Australian market will support us and this product. The investment is prohibitive for most SME manufactures, & with no government assistance, hence the fact there is NO ONE in Australia manufacturing this type of innovative product. We are a 2nd generation family owned company and this type of investment is not to be taken lightly.

With our Customers support we are gaining confidence that if we invest in the equipment and technology we will be able to remain sustainable.

We are working on other products in strip form (environmentally responsible) to add to the Laundry Strips which will make our investment more viable.

I hope this makes a difference to you purchasing our product in the future knowing that we will be making a commitment to bringing this manufacturing in house here in Perth, WA.

Thank you

Omicron Logistics Status Update | 12th Jan 22

The rapid spread of the Omicron variant has further impacted the logistics industry. This includes many courier drivers, warehouse staff, forklift drivers, container unpack crews and administrators.

Due to the widespread impact of Omicron infections, our partnered carriers across the network are experiencing both a surge in parcel deliveries and major disruptions to their delivery services. With a significant number of people in self-isolation in accordance with state regulations and public health orders, delivery delays are expected across the network due to driver shortages, depots experiencing temporary closures and/or operating with significantly reduced staff.

This has also created some lags in tracking details being updated on carrier websites.

Please allow (at least) an extra 14 business days on top of your estimated date for arrival.

Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
