2021 seemed to be the year that Australians are taking stock of our personal impact on the environment and particularly the amount of waste created in our households. The Google search words “reusable”, “recyclable” and “compostable” are as popular as ever showing just how important these issues are to individuals.

We all know this is a big issue and it’s up to individuals and small business to pave the way. Local Councils around the country are finally rolling out better composting and recycling bin systems; eliminating huge amounts of waste through landfill reduction. Answering the call of consumers, manufacturers are beginning with more responsible packaging becoming common place helping to
reduce landfill and reliance on plastics.

Take a typical household laundry with a family of four…a lot of washing is taking place. If they use 1L plastic laundry bottles they might throw away more than a dozen every year! The problem with plastic is that most doesn’t get reused or recycled into other products; it ends up as landfill waste. This equals a lot of waste across the country’s population!

While not all plastics are bad, it takes a lot of effort to ensure recycled plastics are used and then recycled properly after use. We all know there isn’t a simple answer to fix the plastic problem however some manufacturers are looking toward the future with innovative and compostable packaging.

Compostable packaging is made from plant fibres and other responsible organic matter specifically manufactured to break down in a compost system. When disposed of correctly it can provide the Earth with nutrients once it is fully broken down and does not produce toxins as it decomposes.

Making the switch to environmentally friending compostable products
The latest initiative we've produced is our eco-responsible Laundry Detergent Strips in compostable packaging.

Unlike traditional liquid laundry products our detergent strips require zero plastic in the packaging and take up a space of only 17cm long and 3 cm high. Providing 60 washes per pack this little package sure packs a punch. Highly effective & efficient in HOT or COLD water, making it energy efficient as well.

Comparing this to a typical 2L plastic bottle the benefits are huge; smaller carbon footprint through reduced emissions and fuel consumption in the manufacturing, shipping and transport stages. Our Laundry Detergent Strips are formulated without unnecessary surfactants, only using plant-based ingredients results in a super effective and environmentally responsible solution. The strips have
been formulated in a natural lavender fragrance and in a zero-fragrance version for sensitive skin.

Omicron Logistics Status Update | 12th Jan 22

The rapid spread of the Omicron variant has further impacted the logistics industry. This includes many courier drivers, warehouse staff, forklift drivers, container unpack crews and administrators.

Due to the widespread impact of Omicron infections, our partnered carriers across the network are experiencing both a surge in parcel deliveries and major disruptions to their delivery services. With a significant number of people in self-isolation in accordance with state regulations and public health orders, delivery delays are expected across the network due to driver shortages, depots experiencing temporary closures and/or operating with significantly reduced staff.

This has also created some lags in tracking details being updated on carrier websites.

Please allow (at least) an extra 14 business days on top of your estimated date for arrival.

Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
